Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation is the nation’s largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems with 21 locations across America.  We are excited to announce a new high impact role for a Pricing Analyst who will recommend and implement pricing strategies and programs to drive our profitable growth.  This position reports to our Director of Marketing and is located at our downtown Louisville, KY corporate office.

The Pricing Analyst is a key resource that will provide pricing solutions to customers through the sales and account management channels. This position uses resources regarding customer needs, historical data, market conditions, and internal margin/revenue targets to prepare pricing quotes and internal proposals regarding pricing strategies for all market segments.

You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Developing and maintaining pricing tools and profitability models and working with senior leadership to define pricing strategies
  • Growing total gross margin dollars by identifying pricing actions that encourage higher sale values, conversion rates, elasticity, margin rates, and customer satisfaction
  • Forecasting margins to help the business understand the impact of promotional and seasonal pricing
  • Monitoring input costing changes and developing sensitivity analysis thresholds to provide reporting on potential changes to finished prices
  • Regularly communicating pricing analysis with insights, trends, and suggestions
  • Communicating and helping implement pricing changes
  • Leading pricing-related projects including establishing timelines, defining deliverables, and drafting communications or presentations
  • Being a Pricing subject matter expert by staying abreast of developments and trends

Job Requirements

The most qualified candidates will have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ successful experience with pricing responsibilities such as financial management, planning, forecasting, and business analysis
  • Master’s in Business Administration preferred or Bachelor’s degree in finance, operations, economics, or related analytical discipline
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint coupled with the ability to learn other software programs
  • Excellent analytical, communication (both verbal and non-verbal), and organizational skills
  • Superb math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to effectively manage time and prioritize with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work as a vital part of a team
