Job Description
Summary:
Metal Sales is the nation's largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems with 21 locations across America. Our Rock Island, IL branch has an opening on our Customer Service team for a Customer Service Assistant and we are searching for a data entry/administrative professional that enjoys being a part of a small but dynamic team.
This position is generally routine in nature primarily helping with order entry and correct invoicing.

You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Accurately keying in customer orders into proprietary software programs
- Proofing existing sales orders for accuracy to ensure a positive customer experience
- Assisting with other tasks and responsibilities as needed, such as handling overflow customer phone calls during peak season and collating pricing material and/or sales promotional documentation
Job Requirements
The most qualified candidates will have:
- One year experience in a data entry or administrative support role in a customer-centric office setting
- Phenomenal data entry accuracy and attention to detail
- Comfort performing routine tasks
- Professional communication skills
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other applications
- Experience working in the construction or manufacturing industry, ideally with residential roofing and/or siding preferred
- High school diploma or GED
